This Mid Century sideboard by Jiří Jiroutek was made in the 1960s by Interier Praha and features a body of oiled oak with a lively grain. Two lacquered sliding doors in dove blue and salmon orange set a clear colour contrast to the warm wood tone, whilst the recessed ivory handles remain discreet. The body rests on angled wooden legs that give the piece a light, airy appearance. Measuring 110 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 76 cm high, the 1960s sideboard suits the living room as well as a hallway or bedroom. Behind the sliding doors sits a removable shelf that organises crockery, books or records without door wings taking up space in the room. In period apartments this Czech design classic adds colour, whilst in modern interiors it works as a calm accent. The sideboard is in very good condition with a well kept surface.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design.
