This original cantilever armchair from the 1930s captures the functional clarity of the Bauhaus style perfectly. Manufactured in Czechoslovakia, it impresses with its chrome-plated steel tube frame in harmonious combination with a newly upholstered seat in deep green. The wooden armrests have been stained black and traditionally finished by hand with shellac – a finish that makes substance and craftsmanship visible. With dimensions of 62 × 83 cm and a seat height of 40 cm, the armchair offers comfortable support with a minimalist structure. Its cantilever construction lends it a special lightness without losing stability. An authentic piece of Bauhaus history, characterised by attitude, material honesty and timeless presence.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
