This Bauhaus desk from the 1930s embodies the functional aesthetic of an era that radically rethought form and purpose. The chrome-plated steel tube frame forms a clear, geometric structure that combines stability with visual lightness. The work surface and the side drawer pedestal are lacquered in pistachio green, a colour choice valued in Czechoslovak furniture production of those years. The matt surface of the lacquer bears subtle signs of use that underline the authentic character of this piece. The right-angled construction follows the principles of the Bauhaus school, in which every element reveals its function. With a width of 110 cm and a depth of 62 cm, the desk offers ample space for focused work without appearing oversized. The working height of 77 cm meets ergonomic standards and fits into modern work environments as well as rooms with a historical reference. The Bauhaus desk comes from Czech production and was made there according to the design ideals of Modernism. A piece of furniture that unites the spirit of its time with practical value.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
