This Bauhaus sofa from the 1930s stands on a frame of chrome-plated steel tube, as was typical of Czech furniture production of that era. The upholstery has been completely renewed and covered in black fabric that suits the style and period of origin. Black lacquered trim strips of solid beech wood frame the seat and set a calm contrast to the gleaming chrome. Broad, box shaped armrests and two back cushions give the sofa a clear, geometric line with plenty of volume on an open frame. At 192 cm in length and 88 cm in depth, the lying surface offers room to stretch out and also works as a guest bed. In the living room the Bauhaus sofa feels present in period apartments and modern interiors alike, without weighing down the space. The piece comes from the Czech Republic and is in very good condition. We also cover further unrestored frames with fabric or leather on request.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
