This Bauhaus desk Z421 was designed by Artur Drozd and made in the Berlin workshop of Zeitwerk Home. The frame is made of chrome-plated steel tube, bent into two continuous loops that carry the top at the narrow ends, so nothing gets in the way underneath the table. The work surface is covered with linoleum in a warm caramel tone, a finish that stays matt, feels pleasantly warm to the touch and takes writing pressure without shining. Surrounding wooden strips are stained black and hand-polished with shellac, framing the top with a clean edge. At 120 cm wide and 70 cm deep, the desk has room for a screen, papers and writing space side by side, and the height of 76 cm meets ergonomic standards. Because each piece is built individually, the linoleum colour, wood type, finish and dimensions can be adapted on request. It is a new build in the Bauhaus style, in excellent condition and made from carefully selected materials.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
