This Bauhaus desk pedestal 'Z430' in beech was designed by Artur Drozd and made by Zeitwerk Home in Berlin. The carcass of beech-veneered blockboard is oiled and shows a warm, natural wood surface. A chrome-plated steel tube frame wraps around the body and gives the pedestal its characteristic cantilever form. Three drawers with stainless steel handles offer orderly storage for office supplies and documents. The top layer is coated with linoleum, which makes for a robust and easy-care work surface. At 44 cm wide, 40 cm deep and 62 cm high, the pedestal slides under almost any desk. Material, wood type, colour and dimensions can be adapted to customer requirements. In a study or home office, this Bauhaus pedestal complements desks in the same style or sets its own accent in modern interiors. Artur Drozd reinterprets the functionalist approach of the Bauhaus movement and adapts it to today's working life.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
