This pair of Bauhaus bedside tables from the 1930s embodies the functional clarity of Czech tubular steel furniture of that era. The chrome-plated frame combines with a warm wooden body to form a balanced composition. Designer Robert Slezak understood how to unite the industrial aesthetic of the Bauhaus with practical usability. Each Bauhaus bedside table offers precisely measured storage space beside the bed or sofa, with 40 cm width, 36 cm depth and 56 cm height. The wood surface shows a natural patina that tells of decades of use without appearing worn out. The connection points between the steel tube and wood are cleanly crafted and demonstrate the craftsmanship of the manufacture. Both pieces can be used individually or together, allowing for various spatial arrangements. These furniture pieces originate from Czechia and belong to a manufactory known in the 1930s for its precise workmanship. The condition is excellent, so the Bauhaus bedside tables are ready for immediate use and integrate harmoniously into both modern and classic living environments.

At Zeitwerk Home, we prioritise sustainability by applying traditional techniques and using natural materials, oils and resins. We pay particular attention to the environmental friendliness of our work, ensuring that no harmful substances are used. However, the most important aspect of our philosophy is that nothing is more sustainable than an object that lasts a lifetime. Our furniture is carefully restored and processed so that it endures for generations. With today’s booming throwaway mentality, we want nothing to do with it.

Whether modification or Newly Made – we are happy to adapt this piece of furniture entirely to your wishes for an additional fee. We can modify the product shown in terms of colour, dimensions or details, as well as implement a bespoke Newly Made version based on this design. Contact us for your individual requests, preferably directly via the chat at the bottom right.
