The carcass and fronts are made of blockboard and solid alder, opaquely lacquered in black RAL 9005, creating a closed, satin matt surface in which the chrome plated tubular steel of the frame and handles stands out clearly. The handles echo the tube thickness of the frame and run across the full width of the drawer. At 80 cm wide, 45 cm deep and 76 cm high, the chest holds linen, files or tableware and stays slim enough for a hallway. Because every piece is built individually in Berlin, wood type, lacquer colour, surface and all dimensions can be changed on request, which a vintage original does not offer. The design is an independent interpretation of Bauhaus, adapted to today's room heights and use, not a replica.
